Adams æbler - Adam's Apples

Ivan has experienced so much hardship that he needs to find an explanation in order to live with it. That's why he thins that the devil has it in  for him. Ivan would say that everything is a test (...). In  Ivan's mind he's locked  in a fierce battle with the Devil himself. (...) He's in denial about all the bad stuff. That simply doesn't exist in Ivan's world.
